Bradford Film Festival
Bradford Film Festival and UNESCO

During the next couple of weeks the Bradford film Festival will be held at the National Media Museum. This will be the first time Bradford has held it's festival whilst under the banner of UNESCO 'City of Film'. We think this is on the whole a good thing for the city. But! How can we allow the largest undeveloped original 1930's super cine-variety theatre/cinema be demolished and hold the coveted UNESCO brand.....?

Pick up the latest edition of the Odeon observer from us at the film festival or download from this site in the next few days!

What's going on?
Hi folks, I'm a new addition to the cause. I've not heard any news on the Odeon for a while. What is happening with the campaign? I expect things are on hold until after the elections. I wish Mark Nicholson all the best, and if he'll pm me then I'll come over and do some leafleting for him.

Keep up the fight.

It'll be another Westfield as Leeds-based Yorkshire Forward (should that be Yorkshire Backward) attempt to become an off-plan property developer at Bradford's expense.

Regards,
David

Bradford Film Festival and UNESCO
We attend the Bradford Film Festival each year and have mixed feelings on the take over of it by the City of Film this year so far.
Such as the shortening of the Festival to 2 weekends in place of the previous 3 weekends. Thus bringing screenings all over the place rather than being at the Media Museum. The Widescreen Event as in the past been the middle weekend this year it is all mixed up with the final weekend. For us spoiling our attendance at it and our attendance at the final night of the Festival.
